It is a way of life for all of mankind that guides us through its teachings, how to develop a relationship with the Creator and to live harmoniously with the creation.

One consistent message, throughout time

 
The essence of Islam has existed since the beginning of time
 
Throughout human history, God has sent mankind guidance to this way of life through prophets and messengers such as Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and ending with Mohammad, may peace and blessings be upon them.
  • All these prophets preached Islam
  • All these prophets were Muslims
 
A Muslim is someone who submits to the Creator - a practitioner of Islam
 
Muslims believe in (Pillars of faith):
  1. Allah - the oneness of Allah, the one and only God who created and governs the universe.
  1. The Angels - created beings made of light, who carry out tasks assigned by Allah.
  1. The Books - the divine books revealed by Allah to prophets throughout history, including the Quran.
  1. The Prophets - the messengers and prophets sent by Allah to guide humanity, with Muhammad being the final prophet.
  1. The Day of Judgment - a future day when all individuals will be held accountable for their actions in this life.
  1. Divine Decree - the concept of divine destiny or predestination, acknowledging Allah's control and knowledge over all things.
 
A Muslim practises the pillars of Islam
 
The Five Pillars of Islam are:
  1. Declaration of faith - testify that there is one God, Allah, and the Prophet Mohammad as His messenger.
  1. Prayer - performing ritual prayers five times a day.
  1. Charity - giving a portion of wealth to the needy as an act of charity.
  1. Fasting - during the month of Ramadan, from dawn to sunset.
  1. Pilgrimage - to the holy city of Mecca at least once in a lifetime, if physically and financially able.
 
The main sources of Islamic knowledge are the Quran, Allah's revealed word, and the Hadiths, the sayings and actions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Together, they guide Muslims in their faith and daily conduct.
